JALAPENO INFERNO is known locally for an amazing array of promotions, menu features, great specials, and many dining options. Rotating themed menus include the annual Hatch Chile Harvest menu, “99 Nights of Summer” promotion, Taco Tuesdays, and Daily Chefs’ Specials. The hip and lively Cantina features the Valley’s BEST Happy Hour, an enticing Margarita of the Month program and flat-screen TVs for sports viewing. The award-winning Margarita Madness menu lists unique and creative Margaritas and craft cocktails. The Inferno Firewall allows guests to sit back and enjoy the ambiance on those cool Arizona nights. The Scottsdale Road location has the most unique Creekside patio for outdoor dining in all of Scottsdale. The kitchens’ ability to cater your office party, wedding rehearsal dinner, or to set aside a private dining area for your large party in the restaurants has proven to be a “home run for our guests.
Who we are
Terry and Laura Craig
Terry and Laura Craig are the sole owners of Jalapeno Inferno. They started with the Scottsdale Road location in 1999 and have progressively built the business into one of the valley’s most respected and recognized names for quality, authentic Mexican food.
Both Terry and Laura are alumni of Big 4 restaurants under the helm of industry veteran Lee Cohn. A Phoenix-based powerhouse restaurant chain in the 1980s, it was revered as one of the best in the country. Terry went on to the hotel/resort business with the world’s largest hotel management company, Richfield Hospitality, where he served as corporate director of food and beverage. During his tenure, he supervised a portfolio of properties across the country, reconceptualizing restaurants along the way. Laura was an original member of the Paradise Bakery team that established the successful Phoenix market. She was instrumental in their early success as senior general manager. Her resume also includes tenure in training, senior management, marketing, and accounting.
The Craigs live in North Phoenix, continue to play an active role in operations, and are frequently seen in the restaurants. They have 5 children and 9 grandchildren, luckily all living in the Phoenix area.
